We are Ralston Family Farms, a women-owned, multigenerational rice farming company based in Atkins, Arkansas. Our commitment to quality drives our single-source approach to farming, milling, and packaging. We take pride in offering natural, family-farmed, and American-grown food. With our values of faith, family, and excellence, we strive to provide you with delicious and nutritious rice options.
By working harmoniously with nature, minimizing artificial interventions, and addressing climate change, we're fostering a healthier ecosystem for future generations. We're thrilled to announce that Ralston Family Farms has achieved Tier 1 Verification through Regenified, marking a significant milestone on our regenerative journey. Once our current plan is successfully executed and officially verified by Regenified, we'll obtain Certification for all our products!
Why Choose Regenified— We partnered with Regenified because we believe in their mission to create a world where regenerative agriculture is the norm, and the food system aligns with nature. Their verification process helps us measure our progress and improve our practices. They offer valuable feedback and resources to track and measure our success in regenerative efforts.
What are Regenerative Practices and Why are They Important— Regenerative practices work with nature to improve soil health, biodiversity, and ecosystem resilience while producing nutritious food. It's an approach that prioritizes nourishing the soil and enhancing biodiversity for a healthier and more sustainable ecosystem. Regenerative agriculture also helps mitigate climate change by sequestering carbon in the soil and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
What Practices are We Implementing— At Ralston Family Farms, we're proud to implement several regenerative practices. These include cover crops, crop rotation, and no-till planting to build soil health, reduce erosion, and increase biodiversity. We also maximize water conservation by utilizing surface water from the Arkansas River and Alternate Wetting and Drying, reducing our water use by 60%.
What Does This Certification Mean for Our Customers— By partnering with Regenified, our customers can trust that the rice they consume is not only delicious and nutritious, but also produced using regenerative practices that prioritize environmental sustainability. They can have confidence in our farming operations, knowing that we're working towards fostering a healthier ecosystem and mitigating climate change.
At Ralston Family Farms, we're dedicated to supporting a healthier ecosystem and combating climate change. Through our partnership with Regenified, we've achieved significant milestones in our regenerative journey. We continuously implement practices that enhance soil health, biodiversity, and ecosystem resilience. Join us on this regenerative journey and support farmers committed to a healthier and more sustainable food system.
