stream of water in a field

William Wordsworth is by far my favorite poet. In his poem, "Tables Turned" he writes, "Come forth into the light of things, Let Nature be your teacher."

This couldn’t be any more appropriate for our family and farm and is the very essence of regenerative farming and ranching.

There are so many ways to describe Regenerative Farming, that one can get lost in finding the true meaning. We were really no different in our search until we came across Gabe Brown and read his book “From Dirt to Soil." What a light was lit and a renewed passion was instilled for letting nature truly be our teacher. We feel deeply that the Lord has always intended for farming and ranching to be just this way.  Proverbs 27: 34-35 states,  “ Be sure you know the conditions of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations.”  Farming regeneratively will allow us the opportunity to pass down the farm in better ways with grounded intentions.

We are a true family farm, where all of our family participates on some level, either on the farm side, in the rice mill, or both.

We love it when customers (who quickly become friends) call with questions. It always seems to shock the caller when they find out they’re speaking with a family member who is open about answering their questions about the rice we grow. Our passion is to help however we can, whether it be our farming practices, in our community, or answering a simple phone call. Our family is here for you.

We will be sharing more about the exciting things happening on our farm throughout the months to come, so stay tuned!
